Aaron Judge hit his MLB-leading 49th home run of the season in the first inning off Rockies starter Antonio Senzatela.
Judge's home run was his 10th in his last 15 games.
Carlos Rodón pitched six scoreless innings for the Yankees, allowing just three hits and two walks.
Rodón struck out eight batters and improved to 10-4 on the season.
The Yankees bullpen pitched three scoreless innings to secure the win.
