Buenos Aires, Argentina - December 9, 2018

River Plate defeated rivals Boca Juniors in the 2018 Copa Libertadores final on aggregate score of 5-3, capturing their fourth title in the competition. The second leg of the final, played at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium in Madrid, Spain, saw River Plate triumph 3-1 over their archrivals.

The match was a tense and evenly contested affair, with both teams having chances to win. River Plate took the lead in the first half through a goal from Lucas Pratto, but Boca Juniors equalized in the second half through a goal from Dario Benedetto. However, River Plate regained the lead in the 68th minute through a goal from Juan Fernando Quintero, and they sealed the victory in the 78th minute through a goal from Gonzalo Martinez.
