Beetlejuice 2 Adds Big Names to Its Cast

New additions include Jenna Ortega, Monica Bellucci, and Willem Dafoe

Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder, and Catherine O'Hara are reprising their roles

The upcoming sequel to the beloved 1988 comedy Beetlejuice has added several big names to its cast. Jenna Ortega (Wednesday, Scream), Monica Bellucci (The Matrix Resurrections), Willem Dafoe (Spider-Man: No Way Home), and Justin Theroux (The Leftovers) have all been cast in key roles.

Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder, and Catherine O'Hara are all reprising their roles from the original film. Keaton will once again play the titular ghost with a penchant for mischief, while Ryder and O'Hara will play his wife and daughter, Lydia.

The news of the new cast members was announced by director Tim Burton, who is returning to helm the sequel. Burton said that he is "excited to be working with such a talented group of actors" and that he "can't wait to see what they bring to the Beetlejuice universe."

Beetlejuice 2 is scheduled to be released on September 1, 2023.

Arthur Contis character is not known, but the actor will be part of the talented cast of Beetlejuice 2.
